@zachmondial2172 Really eugenics isn't that bad. We do it all the time with plants and animals I'm surprised we haven't done it with people. It really has a bad connotation for no real reason. Imagine how much more advanced we'd be by now if we bred ourselves to be superior.

I think in most cases it shouldn't be permitted unless it's medically necessary. Like the kid is a danger to the mothers life.

@notitzop Doesn't matter, same idea still applies to humans, genetics. We were literally able to select for intelligence in DOGS of all things. Imagine what we'd be able to do with humans. Not just intelligence either. Strength, health, height, attractiveness, you name it.

@notitzop I don't really like the stripping away rights and don't think its necessary for eugenics to work. I could instead see something like tax exemptions and social security benefits for those who sign up for the program.

@mia8808 Science says life begins at conception. I don't think the bible says life begins at conception. The bible says it begins at the "quickening" which is when the kid starts kicking and moving.

@pinkpeach4711 Something being an accident shouldn't absolve you of the consequence of that accident. Because the woman DID make the choice to get pregnant when she had sex. Its not like she just randomly got pregnant out of no were through immaculate conception, she made a decision, and a kid is the consequence of that decision. If she didn't want the kid she could have just not have sex. Why punish the innocent child for the mothers bad choice?

@BonShula Neighborhoods are part of society but even past that point. If the neighborhood is bad so what? People quite frequently grew up in bad "villages" in the past. In fact "villages" on average were WORSE in the past than they are now. So there's no excuse in modern times.
