@twistysunshine If you are resisting arrest and the cops are forced to detain you AND YOU STILL RESIST GETTING INTO THE CAR and they put you on the ground to subdue you, all the while you are on drugs that are hampering you ability to think rationally a breathe what do you expect to happen? Not letting a criminal do what ever they want isn't fascism.

The point is that the main hurtle might never be solved, and even if it does any subsequent development of the technology would suffer from the same legal problems as the original.

Except the neck restraint that was used on floyd was a legal restraint the police are trained to use, not only that but floyd was doing all kinds of things in the body cam footage that make this video questionable now especially with the new toxicology reports. At most this was manslaughter but not murder.

@twistysunshine also not sure what cops having guns matters since most people in the US are allowed to carry a gun and can be trained to use them...

@twistysunshine True people are suppsoe to go court, And that is what the cops were trying to do when they were arresting him, but he apparently didn't want to go to court and wanted to keep resisting. So the put him on the ground and due to various circumstances he dies, its not murder, its an accidental death. Why in the world, would cops allow a KNOWN CRIMINAL to escape and go back out into the world to do more damage to society ? Do you just think no one should be allowed to be detained ever ?

@twistysunshine A choke hold is no where near as dangerous as a gun, or a tazer, or even being hit with a batton.

@twistysunshine YES FLOYD WAS A CRIMINAL. HE HAD A RECORD OF USING FAKE BILLS AND ROBBING A WOMAN AND HER CHILD IN THEIR HOME WITH A GUN. The cops were called and he was arrested because he used a counterfeit bill. If he was innocent it would not have mattered if he was arrested for accidentally using a fake bill because he would have been released any way. But not only did he have a history of using fake bills AND POINTING A GUN AT A WOMAN AND HER CHILD AND ROBBING HER, but he was also on drugs at the time which is also illegal and makes him even more dangerous to the public. In the released body cam footage floyd was already saying he couldn't breathe way before the cop put him on the ground. So either he was faking or the drugs were having an even worse effect on him than we saw. Of course a choke can be dangerous but floyd probably wouldn't have died he he either wasn't on drugs at the time or simply went with the cops in the first place. If people choose not to listen to police officers then THEY ARE THE ONES PUTTING THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE.

@twistysunshine There's a clear difference between having asthma and dying because YOU decided to take a large dose of a dangerous illegal drug with know side effects WHILE ALREADY BEING A CRIMINAL. Not to mention he is a criminal so why should anyone believe him when he knows he's going to jail for a long time ? There is only so much slack you can give some one before you have to admit they are the ones who have ruined their own lives. Its unfortunate but floyd just made to many mistakes at the wrong time.

@twistysunshine Why are you so eager to defend a criminal? There a reason criminals lose rights once they've been convicted, because they are no longer human, They didn't care if they hurt other humans so why would anyone give them the same respect ever again? Just because someone has an illness doesn't absolve them of the consequence to their actions. Just being a criminal generally isn't a reason for you to get die, but don't try and act like floyd did absolutely nothing wrong in his interaction with those cops and was just a random innocent person.

The monopolies are enforced by the governments because of government restrictions making it harder for people to start competing companies. Capitalisms isnt the problem, the problem is government.
