@shookbrii yes it is very much an extreme scenerio, 10% of the time is very much what we consider extreme, and its not suppose to happen, not to mention that if the mother is being careful the chance of miscarriage drops as well.

@anythingspossible1 no accidental is not a valid reason because no one forced the woman to get pregnant, she accepted the risk of getting pregnant when she had sex.

@anythingspossible1 Yes they are indeed a human life at conception. It is already the scientific consensus that life starts at conception. And yeah sure sex CAN be for more than reproduction but people now seem to be completely unconcerned with the natural risk that come with sex. But logically the only reason in nature the only reason for sex is reproduction thus people should, i don't know, maybe be a bit more responcible for the actions they take?

@anythingspossible1 Its not potential human life its inevitable human life. The potential was used up at conception. After that an automatic process begins. The mother already made her choice and the end result of the pregnancy isn't her death where as abortions ALWAYS result in the death of the child. Making abortions illegal may put lives at risk but will still reduce the over all number of abortions so the goal is still accomplished. And yet again no one is forcing women to give birth they made that decision themselves when they decided to get have sex and get pregnant. If the woman wasnt prepared to have a child she should and should have tried harder to not get pregnant. Age didnt, thus pregnancy is the result, actions have consequences and people should take responcibility for those actions instead of trying to evade them. My morals are fine, I'm not the one killing kids.

@barbarareichart267 Main point, sex is mostly for reproduction. Any entertainment derived is secondary as its simply natures way of encouraging reproduction. And naturally animals don't even really think about what they are doing, they are just biologically programed to perform the action compared humans that put more thought into certain biologically imperative task.

@barbarareichart267 It exist but in the common era it has been WILDLY missused and and thus people have become very irresponsible. We dont have to be completely against sex outside the concept of reproduction but we've gone to far in the direction of treating it as some just casual experience and the population has thus suffered for it.

@raapyna8544 Yes humans are very much fundamentally different between different countries. Thats like the entire reason we have different countries at all. Countries naturally develop different societies and cultures. The countries you are referring to are vastly different, the people from said countries are vastly different. So for America focusing on rehabilitation wouldn't work. Just like trying to directly import other social systems from other countries dont work in the US like universal health care, free college, ect. Thus the United States focuses on penalty to deter others from commiting similar crimes. Not that the system is perfect it definitely has its own flaws but its what works best for America.

Difference is you are talking about making something which is already illegal simply more illegal with guns. But with abortions being already entirely legal making them illegal will definitely reduce the number.

Most often you will find people either love being a victim and those people are generally very narcissistic or you get people who hate being a victim and find it actually insulting to be called a victim but funnily enough have relatively low self esteem.

No one has the right to kill someone else. This will stop ALOT of abortions, theyll still happen but at least it will reduce the number thus saving lives. No one is forcing women to give birth, the woman accepted pregnancy when she had sex, if she truly wanted to 100% avoid getting pregnant then she would have simply not had sex. Killing kids is wrong, thats it.

Its weird that someone can be charged with double homicide if they KILL a pregnant woman but the woman can still kill something that is lawfully recognized as a human life.

@Dimitri791 abortions that are the result of sexual assault dont even make up 1% of abortions cases. 90% of abortions cases are out of convenience rather than need. So how about this, if we make all other abortions illegal except for ones involving rape,incest,and the pregnancy threatening her life, then would you be fine with that? No ? Then you don't actually care about those women who were actual victims of such things your just using them as a tool.

It sounds nice but I don't think its accurate. In reality men really do just not complain about things like this. Men to typically just talk about a problem they try and fix the problem thus you see things like these artificial girlfriend bot things appearing.

No one is forcing anyone to give birth, the women choose to hey pregnant, they are just being stopped from killing unborn babys. This isnt a bodily autonomy problem as the child inside isn't part of the womans body, it has its own body.

@angelaschone2847 Irrelevant of what people do it for that it is ALWAYS at risk of happening and people know that and decide to have sex anyway so YES they are consenting to getting pregnant. Consent to the risk means consent to pregnancy. Pregnancy is the risk.

@angelaschone2847 Yes it is consent to it happening. Just because you don't want something to happen doesn't mean you didn't consent to it. Because there DOES exist a completely fool proof way to not get pregnant no matter what already, is not having sex. The consent is given along with the consent to sex.

What does abortion have to do with women's rights or bodily autonomy? The fetus isnt part of a woman's body it is its own body, a woman does grow an extra 10 fingers and 10 toes and extra organs when shes pregnant. And none has the right to kill another person simply out of convience.

@rainbowwigglecactus6605 Stop making birthing so so truamatizing its literally where everyone mammal on earth came from, some women even have multiple kids. People can already decide it something they want to go through or not, its called not getting pregnant in the first place. The ability to kill someone else for their convience however is not a choice they should have. The woman alreayd made the choice to get pregnant, so at the very least she shouldnt be able to just up and kill the child she agreed to have out of convience. Even if the adoption system was bad we dont kill people just because they might end up poor... Womens rights end where the rights of unborn children begin.
