  1. @@Besthinktwice Especially the national politicians, they have still have some loyalty to their people. The foreign politicians don't. They should not decide what happens to a different people, that can't vote for or against them.

  3. That's because it was still the idea, at leat publicly, that a supranational organization wouldn't want to do anything against the will of a democratically elected government. Because if it does, it's a dictatorship. Opening your borders and treating another nation's citizens, companies, capital, products and criminals as their own is the most far reaching relationship a nation, a state, a nation state can have to another one. I can't say that relationship feels natural in case of Georgians and Albanians. It isn't, it would be just another influx of cheap labour after the Poles and already other Eastern-Europeans are getting too expensive.
