Doctors have tendency to ignore small risks like that, I have no idea about the real numbers, because those are indeed irrelevanat in most of their work, the necessary treatments. For unneccessary treatmans the bar should be set much higher.

  2. They are both coming from the same prudeness. Both male and female genital mutilitation serve the purpose of limiting sex more to penetration, for reproduction. The transgender ideology is also neglecting sexual joy, looks are more important, sexual joy is just about the mechanics that can be imitated through surgery. Ignore physical sensitivity and all the dirty things that come with the arousal of the natural body, that only makes prudes uncomfortable. Passing as the opposite sex is the most important thing in life. Of course it is for a confused teen, for teens looks are far more important than for older people, who will turn down the light in the bedroom more nad more anyway, who care much more for great working genitals. Especially when those teens have not been in love yet, haven't had sex yet, and their urge to do so is diminished by drugs and/or hormones. How could they ever make a conscious decision that looks are more important than natural sexual function if they haven't been allowed to experience or even look forward to normal sexual function?
