  1. National identity is under attack, because the imperialists (globalists) hate strong nation states and hook up with tribalists to undermine them. A specific Dutch problem is that an international mindset, open and welcoming to the rest of the world and the exotic, is part of our national identity. Being a small country among belligerent European powers is also a part of that. With the changed numbers of natives vs immigrants we don't know how to defend our language (also against our own government btw), we don't know how to say 'you're not welcome', we don't know how to defend our 450 year old freedom religion against immigrants for whom it isn't that self evident to keep your religion out of someone else's sphere. We expect immigrants to like the Netherlands and become more Dutch, since they came here and we are indeed awesome. We expect them to want to be part of the social cohesion, to become part of our also 450 year old tradition of literacy and great education for the masses. We have to defend and identity that is not defensive in it's core.

  2. Yes, because that might hurt muslims, as in not being welcomed anymore. Just like Islamic State is bad because it killed muslims.
