  1. No, the don't. The Antilles could pick and choose from four options offered to them in the relationship with the rest of the Netherlands, and didn't even need to pick the same. Full independence was also an option of course, but they don't want that because that means they don't get guaranteed money. Of course all the money they get now is part of a deal and is not give to lign the pockets of the people in government. There is a huge corruption problem so they get more control by Dutch government. Stop taking the money and they can do whatever they want, but it will be a mess for the people.

  2. No, they are not your poeple, they are our people now. It's our money too, made here. But to be honest, if all the people that came from Africa would 'go back', all the people that came as 'refugees' crossing several safe countries that wouldn't be a problem. They are still a net loss to the country, many on welfare, many high in the crime statistics.

  3.  @liesbethpronk4897  I agree, it's also together with Suriname that we created them. It's not like we colonized an existing nation. We made those societies and in case of Suriname, changed the land and made it actually very Dutch. We have responsibility and they are always welcome back.
