  1. The Dutch the great rivals of the Belgians? They had only been together for 15 years between 1815 and 1830. The Belgians were inustrializing, the Dutch were traders and had only lost their position as the world's biggest trader with Napoleon invading, the Belgians hadn't sailed past the shrimps for centuries. What would they be rivalling on?
