  1. American society might be able to change faster than that of older countries, you have been the embarassement of the West in this for the whole 20th century. The post slavery era is the difference and it was not pretty. What we see now is a kind of denial of the shameful history by universalizing American racism and spreading the blame. If you say we've come a long way in a short time (and are still very race obsessed without the hatred) I respect that, if you say no this was a myth it was bad everywhere, I say be a big boy and own up to your specific American history. Scandinavian countries don't have anything of that.
