  2. We used to have Porsches for especially the highway patrol, from the early 60's to the mid 90's. First the 356 cabriolets and later the 911 Targa. Not just to be quick in hot pursuit, but also because the officer could stand up in the car and direct traffic. It probably helped recruitment too.
