I think most European men over 30 have been overweight several times. It's more like 'not in shape', it has happened to me more than once and then your team mates make fun of your little belly.

@DamianIbberson It has never been a measurement for individuals. It's useful for what is was for, population statistics, because then the rugbyers will be compensated with the fashion models.

@DamianIbberson I know but that is lazy pseudo-scientific practices by the care industry. Check "Quetelet index" as it used to be named when it was developped. It was never meant to be an indication of the inviduals health, but only as demographic data tool. It is useful to spot weight problems in a population, national or regional or any selection, like it's been done here, but it fails the individual and it fails certain populations with an unusual high percentage of endomorph body types genetically.

When I see some American video's on "cycling in Europe" I also wonder how big a part of Europe they believe the Netherlands to be. The situation on immigrants is very different to the USA all over Europe. We have a different kind of immigrants, who came with different aspirations and obligations. We are in general less tolerant for different groups, of paralel societies in our national society, Americans tend to live seperate from and rather indifferent to people in a different part of the city, in Europe we had high expectations of fitting in, becoming one of us. Gypsy organized crime is a bit like a cheap nomadic Mafia. In Western Europe we see a lot of that because it's nomadic and very little of the rest of gypsy culture, unless you are in to Flamenco of course.
