  4. Gravity is stronger at sea level so the body is triggered to fight against it. The serious hypothesis is that it has to do with egalitarianism and female independence. Male height is more important to sexual selection because the women make that themselves and believe height is attractive. Family and money gets less in the way than in other countries.

  5. Almost, it's supposed to be the position of the woman in this that makes her sexual selection more about attractiveness than things like money, good family etc. than in lots of other countries. Of course the women are getting taller because of that too, amplifying the effect for the following generation.
