  1. The weird thing is that we have to pay 2000 euro at least to get a driver's licence to then share the road with Americans who got their licence for not crashing driving across a car park. That goes for expats too, American driver's licences should simply not be recognized by our governments.

  2.  @marimarianations9355  So why can't local drive a few months before they get their licence? You set a bar for road safety or you don't. If you don't meet certain standards you are not allowed on the road, unless you are an American. That's just not right.

  3.  @walkir2662  Fair point, but the military is trained anyway, so they could easily do some foreign driving training too.

  5.  @sugarflame1833  I'm sorry you didn't get it was a charicature, but I'm sure for some states, that is not that far off. So the American driver's licence does not guarantee anymore driving skill we get exposed to than the worst US state in this.
