  2. Because of the uneven number 5 cylindres have a two tone sound I have been told, I don't have a musical ear myself. The Volvos were much more eyecatching when they raced the estate version. I think that Jaguar was actually the first V8. Jaguar developped a brilliant straight-6 in 1949 and that covered everything from 2.4 to 4.2 litres including modernized versions, while the V12 based on the same design was only 5.3 litre. So there was no need for, a less well balanced, V8 until engines needed to be shorter and lighter. Commentary was by the legendary Murray Walker, a few drivers were former F1 drivers (Winkelhock, Tarquini), and they drove on those narrow racetracks made out of WWII air fields all over the country. Toca2 was a very good racing game for it's day. Limited graphics of course but great simulation characteristics, very dark threatening clouds and difficult slippery corners.
