  1. Shell has been a Dutch-British cooperation from the beginning, but it used to be a Dutch company until it moved it's headquarter to the UK for tax and legal reasons very recently. Their main operation is still from the Netherlands I guess, because of Rotterdam. Airbus is mostly legally registered in the Netherlands for tax or French-German neutrality or something. Netherlands is an attractive country for Intellectual Property law especially in relation to tax too apparently. There is a research division there too but Airbus manufacturing is not happening there.

  2.  @MrDjTilo  Shell has a lot to be ashamed of but I still prefer it to be subjected to Dutch law over UK law.
