  1. The word was that the perfect speed for a typical 90's Dutch speed bump was 62 km/h because it matches the distance between the wheels ideally for the suspension to entirely smooth it out. Some say it was 66.6 km/h but I believe that's only true at full moon.

  2. Not much probably. I think it's this brilliant because it works in this narrow window of light weight and simplicity. If you start seriously improving on it you get in a weight range the tyres and suspension will have to be bigger, the high centre of gravity will become a tipping over problem, if you go watercooled you even have to install a heater instead of using air blowing over the hot engine. Most people who desperately want more power use a BMW motorcycle engine, also an air cooled boxer twin.
