Though why angels would be against a goal if the only alternative was failure or destruction beats me. Humans are not also born with that level of awareness, connection or automatic trust, either. The failure of all three thus seems all the more inexplicable, in heaven...

  7.  @Fiftybooch  Well, we do seem to be inferring a lot from what is really very LITTLE information to go on, that said. And without that knowledge, how were they to steward or PROTECT anything? Not that seemingly even got told Satan and suicidal, delusional rebel angels even existed. Also, many still infer Adam and Eve (yes, even some churches) to be ALLEGORICAL characters, and not literal. So the causation is still murky, whether you go literal or not - as of course is how 'choice' even works for all of that.
