  1. Slavery was 5.2% at its ‘Height’ so most of the time less than that which is not a big factor in our succes. That also isn’t the part Dutch people are proud of, we are proud that as such a small nation we’ve managed to become so powerful during that time. Defeating other powers, England, Spain and France. And colonialism had many negative things but also had a lot of positive things which rationally shouldn’t be ignored. After one point in history most our government investments went to Indonesia.
