  3.  @ascgazz  I'm working on the assumption that climate change will take out the infrastructure and reduce the world population by several billions. New societies will be formed at a local level and none of the trappings of communication or easy travel will be available. This will enable democracy to be re established on a local level. The survivors of this new world will have to try and ensure that control of any media in the future can not be used as a tool of fascism and oppression like it is today.

  6.  @ascgazz  lol, pretty sure people were bring mis-led as soon as parchment and ink were first invented. Best thing to do is end it all. It's the only way people could see any sort of democracy

  7.  @ascgazz  can't speak for the rest of the world, but in the UK, the masses have been purposely under educated. This has resulted in the UK media becoming a largely foriegn owned system of control.

  8.  @ascgazz  I was educated by the 1975 Terry Nation TV series 'survivors', and by 'protect and survive'. It was tough being a kid in the 60/70s. Tbh, it's the only way democracy could be restored. As long as the media exists, people will always be lied too.

  9.  @ascgazz  😊if you haven't seen survivors you should give it a go. Make sure it's the 75 version tho as the new one was rubbish. There are quite a few episodes on here.. it's all about rebuilding societies after a pandemic. Tbh, it used to inspire me for prepping as a kid. Short term, medium term and long term plans used to be a fascination. Should see if I've still got them somewhere, may be handy soon...
