@ianl1052 I'm not a brexiteer.. brexit was the worst decision the electorate where ever coerced into.. but I'm no blairite either.. imo economic growth in the UK since thatcher has been unsubstainable with an over reliance on privatisation and unregulated free market gambling... Hence the crash in 2008. Not sure what the way out is now..

@ianl1052 good to talk to someone with rational responses but I'm not sure if I can agree with UK economic growth being sustainable under any government for the last forty years. It's all seemed like a house of cards to me.. asset stripping, fossil fuel revenues plundered,.out of control deregulated financial services and over reliance on shareholders and stock market gambling, and all the while relying on foriegn investment and technology for what little manufacturing we still have left..

@ianl1052 brexit and covid response tho, sounds like I totally agree with you on these disasters... .imo the only conclusion I can come to on brexit was that it was an agenda item for foreign lobbyists and UK disaster capitalists. I can get quite tin foil hatty on the lobbyist side of things but I've spent too long on far right YouTube channels for my own sanity.. Tory covid response? Well that's unbelievable... It all went wrong for them before covid even materialised.. ignoring your own covid planning exercise sort of set the scene for the absolute debacle over covid in the uk
