  2. How do you know that it a lie? You have no idea what Brexit will mean to the UK as you have no idea what Brexit actually means. It has already cost a fortune and will continue to cost a fortune if it doesn't bankrupt us. Construction industry is already sitting about doing nothing and the jobs will start to be lost soon.

  3. How were they possibly better? We were loosing the commonwealth, manufacturing and industry was on self destruct, helped along by unions, inept governments. UK economy needed a bail out as soon as we joined the EU, and we have only got richer since. If you mean job's then yes, we were better employed but Europe is not to blame for the loss of decent employment, its capitalism, globalisation and  government ineptitude that has resulted in us all working in the supermarket instead of the factory floor.
