  1. The problem with mandating to wear masks is that the majority of people won't ever become so paranoid as to never touch the mask with their hands and fingers. In Germany it is mandated to wear mask inside closed spaces like shops and supermarkets. EVERYONE wears the mask inside, and once they go out, they slide their mask down their chin. I do it as well. Then on to the next supermarket or shop. Touch the mask with the hands again in order to cover your mouth and nose. Then once they're done, the mask to the chin again, that's until you reach the metro or train. Touch the mask again. It's literally impossible to adhere 100% to the correct way of protecting yourself out when you wanna go shop, buy foods or have to do some official paper works. Also if you're in a hurry you can forget those mini (but absolutely necessary) rules. So I believe it comes down to possibilities. You either put all your hopes into the majority of people adhering 100% to the correct rules (also that means that the majority needs to be 100% CORRECTLY informed on how to use the mask) which as I stated is non realistic and hope that the virus doesn't spread that much or you dismantle the law to wear masks and hope that the virus spreads slower that way.
