And perhaps we have too many government officials all together? Argentina has many problems but has turned some around by drastically cutting back it's government, and seems to be on the road to recovery. Just a thought.

Money used to be capital when it was a physical metal, but what is money now? Our currency is no more than debt notes promising something of ever decreasing value from the government/treasury. If we use government borrowing/spending to fund projects does that not cause inflation and devalue the currency further, and cause bigger issues by undermining confidence?

@markwelch3564 Argentina still has a long way to go, but, made strides forward and put itself in a much better place since slashing spending, dropping pointless initiatives, and removing a large deadwood of unnecessary government. It has given itself a chance to get out of the death spiral it was on.

@markwelch3564 Maybe, but the previous trajectory was doomed, and at least this path gives them a chance to rebuild as the country is rich in resources.
