That guy should contact that police officer and apologize. I was involved in some shit back in college that led to a bunch of officers in my vicinity and years after I called the police department of my college town and got in touch with the main officer. I apologized and he didn't say much of anything at all but a few, "uh huhs" and some yep, thank yous" but it was still good to set shit straight in my opinion. We can all be idiots in the moment but you gotta man up and take responsibility afterwards.
