@rossmacnab2655 aww thanks! I like you too 🤗 I remember when Davy Jones did a guest appearance on the Brady Bunch and Marcia got to go on a date with him. I wanted another football to hit her nose I was so jealous 😂😂 showing my age but that’s where all the good music started from and we certainly don’t have bands like we used to. I think you mentioned Pink Floyd. There was Queen, Dire Straits artists like Whitney Houston. Swifty might be popular, I don’t listen to her, I do like Pink, but it’s not the same. What do you think?

@rossmacnab2655 by the way, I love The Monkees too! I looked for your comment. You have good taste in music in the other artists you mentioned also. My Dad brought me up on 50’s and 60’s music, especially the Beatles, I love their songs especially their early ones. ❤️

@rossmacnab2655 I love the Deep Purple story with Ian! How funny! 😂😂 Some of the best bands came from the UK 🇬🇧 I mentioned Queen already. Led Zeppelin, The Cult, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and yes Pink Floyd and Deep Purple…. God Save the Queen’s rendition by the Sex Pistols 😂😂 I’ve even got a soft spot for the old Gerry & the Pacemakers 😂 I saw them years ago when they came out and did a club tour around Australia 🇦🇺 From the US 🇺🇸, my then husband took me to see Gene Pitney for my 21st birthday 😂❤️ I guess I’m a bit eclectic too or eccentric 😂😂

@rossmacnab2655 Friggin the riggin 😂😂😂 omg memory lane!! That’s hilarious! One of my exes introduced me to Lynard Skynard. I’d wake up every weekend morning to Freebird, Simple man etc.. I actually ended up loving the band. He did me a favour. The Ramones I found on my own. I saw them on an episode of Sha Na Na who ended up being the band that played in the movie Grease. Maybe they did that first? Not sure? Used to love them too! Talking Heads were awesome! The ex husband used to think “check out Mr business man on his way to the stock exchange” were about him 😂😂 I think that was Wild Wild Life? It was a long time ago, I got married in 1987 when I was 19yrs old and wasn’t pregnant 😂😂

I don’t listen to Taylor Swift but I did see a video about her diss track to Kim Kardashian called “ThanK you aIMee” so the letters KIM were spelt in capitals purposely. I would’ve liked them to talk about that. I don’t think they actually listen to her music 😂😂 No surprise there. I did enjoy the show!

Inflation- were they talking $$ or sales numbers? Have you personally crunched the numbers to be an expert on this before your attempt to become the expert on this in your comment? I’m guessing not? So I do have a point because it is my point which you cannot disprove other than to make sarcastic remarks to me. I will not do the same as I’m tired of getting comments deleted for no reason at all. All I ask is that if you want to debate a point please be respectful.

@Threemore650 oh I just saw the Beach Boys comment! I luurrvvveeddd them! Still do. They are on my playlist. Sloop John B & Hawaii came on last week. They had so many hits. As for Manson, I guess Dennis Wilson was the easiest one to get to because of his addictions. I think though Manson was so manipulative, that’s how he got his foot in the door. Correct me if I’m wrong but it was Brian that kicked Manson and his cronies out. As for California, I can only go by what I see on YT and yeah it doesn’t look like the wholesome family fun in the sun from my Aussie POV. I loved Jan and Dean too! Dead Man’s Curve. 😀 Edit: Davy Jones was a huge heart throb of mine ❤️ I did love Elvis. Not sure if you did in your comment to the “youngster” 😂 I actually like Miley Cyrus too. I prefer it when she has clothes on. Music after 2000’s is mostly doof doof or mumbly thump as you say. I couldn’t agree more! 🧡

@jeremyhodges7956 oh I thought this conversation was finished. Guess not. Jeremy, I’m not a fortune teller. I’m also not a Taylor Swift fan so I don’t know why you’d think I’d care either way. If you watch Pier’s new episode, he clears up this whole issue. I was right, it was all about sales, not who was bigger or better. Taylor has outsold The Beatles. To me personally, I won’t be around in 50 years, I’m in my 50’s now, I would always consider the Beatles to be bigger than Taylor Swift. They revolutionised music with 4 chords. They took the world by storm. Elvis was a standout, women went crazy for him. When ABBA came out, the world went crazy too. It’s Taylor’s turn now.

If you saw my response why did you not engage with me? I had some wonderful conversations on this thread with people about music. It was a lot of fun. The others, except for one person who was really smug, were conversations about sales v’s popularity. You can think whatever you like. I know what you wrote and you didn’t bother to challenge me on it so I’m totally vindicated! You should be so happy your comment got picked out for the show. Clickbait refers to the title of the show which was “He Diagnoses The Problem Correctly” Matt Walsh on Andrew Tate & More. I didn’t see the title and rush in and think we’d be having a debate about The Beatle’s sales V’s Taylor Swift’s sales. Perhaps you just have a problem admitting that you were wrong? Maybe that Pier’s staff pulled your comment out and it was shut down publicly on YouTube has hurt your feelings. If that’s the case then I’m truly sorry for you if you’ve felt that Piers made fun of you or humiliated you. That must be a terrible feeling. Now it makes sense why you’re taking it out on me.
