I am so sad for Nicole Oulson. My heart truly breaks for her ❤️ I watched most of this trial and the defence did a really good job. The prosecutor the cross examined Curtis Reeves came across like a pedantic hot head. The popcorn issue always came across as secondary. It wasn’t thrown. It fell from Reeves hand after he perceived Oulson had either hit him or thrown a cell phone at him. Not thrown popcorn at him like it has been portrayed in the media. Chad Oulson did not deserve to die. I understand the not guilty verdict means Reeves isn’t criminally responsible but it doesn’t mean Chad deserved to die so you shouldn’t say it like that. All I can tell you from watching most of the case is I’m not surprised that Reeves was found not guilty.

@lovestodesign yep! Everyone picks on the Ramseys for not searching their house but Patsy saw the ransom note, ran into Jon Benet’s room and saw she wasn’t there so they believed she had been kidnapped. What sort of police department tells a family to search a house and let’s a crime scene become contaminated? Unless someone intended for it to be that way from the start? I don’t really know of course, it’s just raising questions the more I converse with you and try and understand why would BPD withhold evidence that could answer this for all. Thanks for the Blessings. All the best to you and your family too.

Go Leah! Isn’t it interesting that even though the Judge in the Danny Masterton trial specifically warned his defence team about keeping the Prosecution’s Discovery file to themselves, they were NOT to be used outside of the criminal trial, somehow Danny’s defence team accidentally emailed the file to the Church of Scientology Lawyer so they’d have a head’s up in the civil trial when the Jane Doe’s sued Masterton and the CoS. The Judge did hold a hearing and they admitted it but got off too lightly. 🤬 Claire Hedley was a amazing expert witness in the trial. She explained to the jury how Scientology worked and why the Jane Doe’s couldn’t go to the police straight away. Chris Shelton is another great SP. Both of them have channels on YouTube with great stories. Anyone who has left Scientology knows about their practice called “Fair Gaming”. Mike Rinder and Leah did a podcast on Fair Gaming. It may be on here or on usual podcast platforms. I can’t wait for Leah to get started. They will come after her, friends and family big time now. CoS think they’re untouchable.

Agreed Randy! I was disgusted by that statement too!

@lovestodesign Thank you for being a voice of reason in this long thread. I’ve signed the petition to get Boulder PD to release the evidence to Othram Labs for DNA testing but they are still refusing to do it. You’re 100% right about John Ramsey. He’s been doing everything he can to get his little girl’s murder solved before he dies. Boulder PD are refusing to play ball. John has offered to pay for the testing himself so they can’t use their budget as an excuse. What possible reason could they have not to want the evidence turned over to the best DNA Lab in America, possibly the world? John and Bourke deserve answers seeing that people are still choosing to accuse them. The accusers are getting the info from the TV show that got sued. So they should’ve been too, I watched it and was really disturbed by how they got to their conclusion. I wonder if Boulder PD are waiting for John to die so he doesn’t sue them but Bourke would still be alive? BPD deserve to be sued for deliberately obstructing justice, withholding information and or protecting a murderer. Surely there must be something in the law John’s lawyers could try again with?

@lovestodesign OMG Yaaaassss! I still follow Paul Holes (GSK Detective)he’s on the Small Town Dicks Podcast with two other ex Detectives and Yardley Smith (voice of Lisa Simpson from The Simpsons) she’s married to one of them. They have Detectives come on and tell their stories and Paul has told a few. He’d be perfect for looking into the case because his specialty is Cold Cases and he’s the one that helped crack the Golden State Killer Case through the genealogy idea. This guy has even raised funds to help other cases. What a great idea! A cold case unit as well as handing over the evidence for testing. Boulder PD must have a reason? They already look stupid and incompetent so unless they’re covering for one of their own, that’s always a possibility? I just can’t think why else and as you rightly stated the public has a right to know. I’m in Australia and Jon Benet’s senseless death has captured world attention. It’s not just America, her name is well known here too. Unfortunately there are people that know very little about her case and what has happened in the ensuing years make ridiculous assumptions as well. I would love to see at the very least evidence handed over to Othram. If I lived in Boulder I’d be starting protests to get the PD moving and to be transparent.

Reeve’s defence team were brilliant. They got him the Not Guilty verdict with their efforts and experts.
2
@davidsmiths5471 who knows? Either could’ve left. Reeve’s should’ve not been such a whiner about a phone light in the first place. It’s not like the movie was on, only previews. Maybe Oulsen should’ve continued to ignore him like his wife said he did. Nicole claimed that Chad wasn’t angry or upset, but he must’ve been to jump up and turn to Reeves. 🤔

This will be an interesting case to follow once evidence starts to come out.

@Anne-pk8gs yes, the bullet hit her finger because as Chad stood up and turned towards Reeves, Nicole had reached towards his shoulder in an attempt to stop him or tell him it wasn’t worth it, but it all escalated quickly. I did find her testimony strange in that she said after being pestered by Reeves to put the phone away, then being told he was going to get the manager, Nicole testified that Chad made no comment about it. I know I would’ve said to a friend or partner if I’d been harassed by an old guy behind me to put my phone away etc I would’ve at least said “silly old fart” or “what a nutter” It just didn’t make sense, even if you weren’t angry that you wouldn’t comment to the person you were with. Nicole testified he (Chad) said nothing. 🤔

@glamdolly30 nowhere did I “brand” Chad Oulsen as the aggressor. In my comments I said all I can tell you from watching the trial (evidence presented and witnesses) is that I’m not surprised that the verdict came back Not Guilty.
1
@davidsmiths5471 Reeves was asked that question. He said once he’d spoken to the manager it was now between Management and Oulsen and he wasn’t concerned at that stage as he just presumed due to Oulsen’s swearing that he was just being “mouthy”. He wasn’t prepared and didn’t see the escalation coming. He also stated (after being asked) that in hindsight he wished he had just moved, he wished the whole thing never happened.
1
@davidsmiths5471 sorry, I just realised you wrote “she”. In her testimony Nicole claimed that Chad totally ignored Reeves. He never said a word back, and he never said a word to her about him either. They didn’t leave because they weren’t bothered by Reeves.

Boulder PD need to hang their heads in shame for all the corrupt and lack of police work they’ve not done to solve this little girls murder. They refuse to hand over evidence for DNA testing. John Ramsey has been trying for years to get them to do this and they are fighting him legally. WHY?? Why don’t the Boulder PD want this case solved? Please give John Ramsey and his family some peace. They’ve been through enough, even been accused themselves. Jon Benet deserves justice and so does her family.

Boulder Police have put this man and his family through hell for the last 26 years. How hard can it be for them to say yes and give the evidence to the reputable lab and give Jon Benet the justice she so deserves:
