  11. Here's the real truth: the governments today could do that but have zero interest. Germany post war had an amazing shuttle design many times more efficient than US shuttle which was kinda pointless, and no one ever built it or even utilized the idea.

  15. Well even in modern times if you are a war hero your fortune is made. In Imperial times you could easily become a lord or high ranking officer through daring do, and that would make you a relatively rich man or even an extremely rich man who could easily support a family and often create a family wealth that could last forever if your heirs were intelligent. While if you did not own land at the time the chance you'd successfully raise a family were very low (and it is today, too when you think about it). But modern warfare is probably anti-eugenic because there are many specialized jobs that require a lot of intelligence but are insanely dangerous.

What will you do when that number is 75% with quadruple the population? You'll be eating insects and and grains and slowly starving to death your whole life just like in china. It shouldn't take much brains to plot a straight line but it is beyond 99% of the population it seems.

  36. It's definitely "strange" and I don't think there is any easy explanation. You don't really get that way from carbon monoxide and it really makes no sense for them to rush out like that unless something very extreme was going on, remember they kept on for a whole kilometer at below zero temps most of them without even shoes. Sometimes people allegedly take their clothes off when freezing to death or so the theory goes, but this should not happen til you are literally almost dead and is very rare and should not happen to a whole group. So there has to be some big puzzle piece that can't really be explained by normal weather as going to certain death makes zero sense even when running from certain death like an avalanche and it's very clear you would change your mind quickly and go back if this was something you could even remotely have a chance to survive.
