  4. I was watching some video about sleeping rooms and it was interesting to see not only did many in america sleep on balconies but also many times they would just communally sleep on hot nights. That seems so crazy today but that was very common before AC. Of course sleeping outside is another story in UK and northern Europe.

  9. As time goes by berries become overripe and can get such a high ph they become poisonous. That may be the source of this superstition.
