  2. Why would we find any without even leaving the planet? That is what always baffled me. No one is going to burn up a whole star's energy making a giant radio signal to send across the galaxy that won't reach anywhere for endless years and even if every single planet develops intelligent life the time it exist is not necessarily going to overlap at all and even the closest stars are too far away for us to pick up their broadcasts of reality television lol
