  1. As a computer scientist I can say yes, you do. A deterministic universe/algorithm is not the same as one where no decisions are made. Algorithms/people are still making decisions but if you have a time machine and jump back and forth before and after world ward 2 and don't change anything OF COURSE the result will be the same every time. This kind of argument, from an academic at least, is the ultimate moron/conman detector. Anyone spewing this BS should not be lecturing other people. For people without specific education of course this is a very puzzling problem so I am not saying the whole world is full of morons, though you could definitely make a case.
