@cesargonzalez4146 Yes the battleships are a good example. Germany back AS FAR AS WW II was working on guided battleship shells and super long range shells. They came up with a plan to do that where the firing cost would be a few thousand per round. Then scrapped it to have them carry missiles instead that cost a million or more each and have much less payload. And without the big guns a battleship is just a very expensive frigate.
