Except instead of silencing the fringe they are silencing the majority so even worse
5
Delete all the talk about the trmp attempt before it actually happened and the guy who was really the body donor afterwards.
5
Can you even undo it once done? You will have this oddball language in there forever and almost impossible to maintain.
5
He and no other president ever did so no. Duh.
5
Time to give it a trillion dollar fine and sell it off to pay the debt
4
They should be fined the entire salary of each possible discriminated position
4
Tracking data is just the same, they can deny all they want but that is the only reason to turn it on before you even view anything. Now they have your profile and you're tracked and identified and advertisers and governments know exactly who you are.
4
People are coming down on linux for this but this is no way to develop anything. Constant updates don't even work for the most silly application let alone for an OS or web browser that is extremely sensitive to changes due to security issues. If someone is smashing in huge amounts of code to update tiny issues it's just unworkable and if the file system requires these large changes regularly then it's just not ready for use.
4
Let the other people using notepad write for you, what can go wrong.
4
I used SUSE way back in the day and it was great. Then they turned it to garbage, and then they went uberwoke.
4
I'm sure that''s why we 'need' an AI chip on the computer, too. What a joke.
4
Thanks for the totally true wikipedia truth box lel

All I know is that in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, the cybernetic societal trait gave excessively unbalanced police power to suppress drones.
4
Every party loves cybertyrrany but it has gone to a ridiculous degree
4
They should be sued out of existence for this
4
They listened to customers which modern software devs refuse to do every single time.
4
I don't use Arch, btw.
4
@aldude999 probably the plan
4
IPV6 also has an exploit to make something from outside appear as localhost so combined these together and what do you get?
4
You can't tell me they need even half a dozen full time programmers. They do need some hosting and backup and so on but give me a break. There have to be a hundred programmers who could do the whole project themselves given some support and hosting.
4
@davidsantana4276 it was great and turned to garbage wonder who's to blame
4
These standards organizations are a real big problem, especially when it comes to security. I noticed javascript added tracert a while back. What legitimate purpose would the user have to allow this running from a web browser? All the bs about privacy and it can be cut through by a line of javascript code.
4
Don't they have the same responsibility as a corporation to not squander money? Moral hazrd or whatever it is called? Not that modern corps seem to care either and waste endless money on activism/anti normalcy

I think AI is great for generation of art and could be great in some cases for voice. For example in some game dev stuff I've done I make several animations and characters and blend them together in various ways. This is technically AI and that's all these art generations really do. Most art is already garbage that copies other people or is digitized from real images anyway. But this will always look like garbage compared to what even I can do let alone a real artist. The point where it is scary and dangerous is they want to push AI onto you for your taxes, for computer settings, stuff like that. That is what this is really about and what has to be stopped. That is why I am (trying anyway) to move to linux, though my new motherboard or 8400f CPU does not want to do this.

He can at least protest and take then to court then lose. Instead he says a whole country is evil and that 'free' software is totally government owned.
3
I'll install chinese software before I use modern MS or adboe software stealing my every keystroke for corporate profit. And so should anyone who makes their living through creative or technical means. Things have gone absolutely insane.
3
He is the typical male feminist just like gaiman
3
@MyAmazingUsername You're not as bright as you seem to think
3
Why fork a piece of garbage
3
Oh they did? Worked out great for king george when he made a small tea tax
3
That's why accepting corporate money is poison. They don't want these projects to succeed and they don't want privacy or security.
3
Thank you for freeing us for tyrrany. Also thank you for saving all my app passwords on my phone without permission and scanning my face every 2 seconds.
3
Why do you think they promote these things so hard? Especially self driving cars, nothing could go wrong there.
3
@cavalieroutdoors6036 It doesn't under law, it is made against them
3
Almost every motherboard has wifi so this could easily be a problem for many desktop users especially combined with other security issues in ipv6. You actually have to pay more to get a non wifi board and distros all seem to have wifi turned on by default, which is stupid if they care at all about security. Since we don't really control hardware we actually can't ever be sure what wifi is doing. I would not be surprised if this was slipped in by an alphabet agency or even foreign group.
3
straight from ccp
3
@TuhljinTampergauge that's the plan then the whole country is taken over
3
Why doesn't the foundation make an OPEN SOURCE and INDEPENDENT browser?
3
They are trying to make it so there is no option for anyone who wants privacy and they have succeeded fairly well. At this point I am considering chinese or russian may be the only way to get privacy from us gov and corporations
3
@andrewkoster6506 The gov already has everything in US open that is not the issue. Being covertly surveilled is unavoidable. Being overtly harassed and stolen from is the issue and this is what is happening here
3
It is. If they have the profile they will sell it, and then you are associated with the profile which essentially has your name and address. That's all that's needed and why it is so egregious that the OS or browser fingerprints. They have it all.
3
All for 30 billion pieces of silver.
3
Is one of the programmers named Evan? Maybe you have a fan
3
If you just use it for email and browser linux is infinitely better most people just don't know how to set it up and most PCs come with windows. Games are the main thing that hold people to windows, but since most people use steam for games anyway this doesn't matter as much any more.
3
An OS is not malware
3
you open source ones that have the us backdors removed
3
It uses less memory
3
I am sure it's policing us on the comments, too. Or worse.
