Or a tomato sandwich and butter cookies? Literally any other way they put the ingredients together would have been better.

He must have had more because you'd die with only corn

Also the serial company of the same name is the one that pushed the diabetes pyramid on us, which led to endless obesity. One of the first popular processed foods.

They all died of iron poisoning. Uncommon but very lethal.

He doesn't drink...wine. But he does cook!

If you see how they get processed you would see how unlikely it is. It also matters how much is in there, so really it's only dangerous if you left some eggs lying around a long time, especially at room temp AND they were infected.

A lot of the old recipes were intentionally opaque. They were not meant for general consumption because buying a book was not a thing for 99.9% of the population. They were only for records or for other experienced chefs to elaborate on.

Of course it's false, everyone knows Lafayette kept demanding thinner and thinner potato slices until the chip was created. Probably another myth but at least it's a cool one and not an obviously made up lie.

Those whole wheat hard tack cookies don't look bad. If you bought the whole wheat berries and made this stuff it would be a great way to have some decently preserved and relatively healthy bread. Though bread is hardly a health food I still like it sometimes.

The viking are separate from Norse and not even really Norwegian, but it is definitely associated with the vikings and how it came to most of europe.

Since they got political and suehappy I won't buy them any more. But I did enjoy the thin mints quite a bit.
2
It was the medieval version of posing with a big fish you caught and they actually paid to have this art boasting of their deeds.
2
Today's leaders would wait for the invaders with oatcakes in hand, ready to turn over the treasury lol

My father always says Der Weinerschitzel. I thought that was something he made up but I also thought I remembered it saying der when I was very young. Guess it did!

@rickwilliams967 And you immediaty get a truckload of lies from the gov, written by the food industry. And all institutions including schools must follow these wacko guidelines or get arrested. That's the whole problem.

I love civilization, or at least the old ones.
1
And these are the people everyone fought and died for.
1
I'd love to farm fannies
1
It was common all over europe so I don't doubt it
1
I used to make it all the time. It doesn't have to be Christmas either!
1
I've eaten at Al Capone's Lodge a few times, where he used to have a hideout or something. Was pretty good. Now closed. Kind of in the middle of nowhere.
1
what do you do with the cookie cutter then?
1
Not not real, eh? So it IS real!

Once the normans came harvesting a stick of firewood was the death penalty
1
I knew it came from a Mexican chef, but I didn't realize it was so different. I like the anchovie paste version, though. Lots of flavor.

Everyone had a lot of restriction to their eating at the time, and lots of malnutrition for the peasants.

I got a laugh out of "forest dwelling confirmed bachelors"! But this same issue affects us today as well. Land is being closed off to the common man in western countries to a degree never seen before, not even in the soviet union. The reason that william did it was to kill off the peasants and make them dependent on the government. Today, ever growing amounts of land are in the hands of corporations, with most of it just sat on, and a few billionaires like Gates. This drives up the prices of food and makes people dependent on corporate jobs and the government to survive. In Europe right now they are enacting legislation that will essentially put all farmers out of work completely and leave just a few corporate farms and make it impossible for any country to feed itself - then they will rely entirely on countries like China for food, which is already by far the biggest food producer already.

You left out the eyes? THE EYES ARE THE BEST PART!
1
The middle part is what I feel every time I pass a starbucks and see 15 cars lined up for 7 dollar sugar waters.
1
I'm going to use oats for meatloaf now. What a great idea.

loved the look on your face when you finally tasted it!
1
that's what I already said

Your liver creates purines as a byproduct of the ALT liver enzyme which goes up mainly due to excessive carbs and alcohol. Getting the liver in shape is the ultimate solution for gout. Fasting, low carb and betaine anhydrous all help.
1
Seems pretty reasonable

Soaked and pounded? Those pirates knew how to party!
1
Alcohol is the best hangover cure. Caffeine not bad either. And so the cycle continues.
1
It's surprising how well mustard works in cooking
