  2. I got a laugh out of "forest dwelling confirmed bachelors"! But this same issue affects us today as well. Land is being closed off to the common man in western countries to a degree never seen before, not even in the soviet union. The reason that william did it was to kill off the peasants and make them dependent on the government. Today, ever growing amounts of land are in the hands of corporations, with most of it just sat on, and a few billionaires like Gates. This drives up the prices of food and makes people dependent on corporate jobs and the government to survive. In Europe right now they are enacting legislation that will essentially put all farmers out of work completely and leave just a few corporate farms and make it impossible for any country to feed itself - then they will rely entirely on countries like China for food, which is already by far the biggest food producer already.
