  1. Johnny Harris, great video. Good research, however, a major mistake I’ve noticed is your use of the word “reunification”. It implies that the PROC (Mainland China) and the ROC (Taiwan) were once unified. As you’ve already stated in this video, what we are seeing today is the result of an unfinished civil war. The word “unification” is far more accurate and respectful to the truth and to Taiwanese people. Thank you.

  2.  @崔莱  , sorry if I was abstruse. It seemed very clear to me, but then again, I wrote it. So, allow me to elucidate. Here in Taiwan where opinions are varied and minds are more open than in China many people prefer the term “unification” if they are being nice. If someone here (Taiwan) uses the term “REunification”, you can generally assume which side they are on, politically speaking of course. Now, from an objective standpoint the term “Reunification” implies that the two countries were once one. That is undeniably false. The CCP, which controls the PROC, has never not for one single day ever controlled the ROC (modern day Taiwan). The two acronyms; PROC and the ROC represent two separate governments who fought for the control of China. The conflict has never truly resolved as the ROC has never actually surrendered. I hope this clarifies things for you. Please let me know where you are unsure, if anywhere.

  3.  @崔莱  , exactly. They are mutually exclusive and always have been. Therefore, the term “reunification” cannot apply here.

  5.  @崔莱  , I did read what you wrote and considered it. But did you read what I wrote? It doesn’t seem like you did. I didn’t ask for your definition. I said I was curious to hear what YOU think MY definition is. I went on to point out that my definition of “unification” is in the dictionary. Also, if one goes through life disregarding the definition of words when they don’t fit one’s preferred narrative, then that one will never find the truth of the matter.
