@崔莱 , sorry if I was abstruse. It seemed very clear to me, but then again, I wrote it. So, allow me to elucidate.
Here in Taiwan where opinions are varied and minds are more open than in China many people prefer the term “unification” if they are being nice. If someone here (Taiwan) uses the term “REunification”, you can generally assume which side they are on, politically speaking of course.
Now, from an objective standpoint the term “Reunification” implies that the two countries were once one. That is undeniably false. The CCP, which controls the PROC, has never not for one single day ever controlled the ROC (modern day Taiwan). The two acronyms; PROC and the ROC represent two separate governments who fought for the control of China. The conflict has never truly resolved as the ROC has never actually surrendered.
