  1. So, yeah, deporting 11 million people would win major political points. However, the secondary effects to the economy would probably trigger a recession as you are removing 11 million consumers from the economy and 11 million workers who wont be available to do our dirty, low paid work like rendering plants, vegetable picking, McDonalds wage slave, etc. Some of the jobs will probably be taken by Americans, especially the less physically demanding ones. So, maybe th3 net loss will only be 9 million workers. However, that means that 10s of thousands of small businesses will likely close or cut back hours. Labor intense agro businesses might face failure as well.

  3. Well, the system is geared towards short term profitability and these companies are not going to keep you on the payroll when. Your labor isn't needed. By the same token, skilled welders do not grow on trees and it is might hard to re assemble a work force when they are needed again. The real solution is to double or triple their wages courtesy of the US tax payer and pay them enhanced unemployment when their services are no longer needed. This way, they have an incentive to not completely switch careers since their skill set is a matter of national security.

  4. ISR makes sense, but you need to distribute that capability to other troops during combat. A single SWARM officer who is killed, captured or critically wounded in combat may render the entire unit combat ineffective.
