  1. ​ @lescaster2179  In academic circles, working class people are considered less than intelligent by virtue of their livelihood. It's the default stance. Granted, in pre modern societies, people who were not members of the nobility were illiterate. However, modern societies have mass literacy now.

  7. I think the fake polyglot phenomena has to do with their ability to acquire a near native accent quickly and parrot a few phrases and the fact that most English speakers are monolingual. If you really challenge them, you will discover that they have basic conversational skills only.
