The problem here is that the helo simply should not have been allowed to be in that airspace from the get go. There is too much that could potentially go wrong and it did.

@mhomho1979 My sense is that there are many factors contributing to this crash. That is how these things usually happen. There has been a trend in recent years or near misses at airports. Helos were authorized to operate inside an airspace where they didn't absolutely need to be. ATC gave vague instructions to the helo pilot.
