Well, if we parse the language of each ammendment, then it is clear that US citizens do not have the right to bear arms since the 2nd Amendment clearly stipulates that we are required to be part of a citizen militia. One could argue that if the requirement of each adult citizen to be part of an armed militia no longet exists, then the right to own arms no longer exists. So, the 2nd Amendment needs some amending. Drop the part about participating in a militia.
