  1. I don't think Japan has the capacity to be a naval super power, as in having large fleets patrolling the world's oceans. It can increase its capability to defend its interests close to home.

  6. Well, hmm. Let's start with the first issue of skilled professionals from abroad. Most of them received their advance training in the English language. They can readily migrate to an English speaking country and go straight to work. Second, Germany is not an immigrant society. It is an ethnic nation state by Germans and for Germans where non Germans are permanent outsiders. By comparison, the Anglosphere countries are less hostile towards immigrants and consider their descendants to be fully integrated by the 3rd generation.
