  1.  @octavianpopescu4776  With 'offensive' words, it can go back and forth over time: certain words that we consider 'offensive' were okay in earlier times, and vice versa. If the word in question persists long enough, in might go in and out of acceptability a few times. And, then, with the wide dispersal of the English language in particular, a word or expression considered 'offensive' in one part of the world might not raise an eyebrow in another.
