@zonian1966 Other people make excellent concrete also. The original Florida Keys railway bridge (preceding the highway bridge) was made with German cement because it resisted salt water erosion 4 or so years ago my home town decided to build a sidewalk in front of my house. I didn't object because this was sorely needed. However, the brains in charge insisted on removing a section of my concrete driveway, 6 ft wide x 25 ft long x 7 in. thick, in order to make the sidewalk "continuous". The existing grade was perfectly suitable, but... It took 3 workmen, with jackhammer, almost one whole day to break up that concrete and remove it! I watched some of this work; the 50 yo concrete was unbelievably hard and difficult to break into bits. Cement was made locally here in southern Ontario. Remember that you get what you pay for in honest business dealings.
