  11.  @drakron  You are wrong on all counts! I wrote "USA defacto" declared war on Germany. Look up the meaning of this. While officially neutral the USA sold war material to Britain, arrested German merchant vessels in US harbours, and fired on German naval and merchant vessels in the Atlantic Ocean. For the Poland invasion read "Polish Atrocities Against the German Minority in Poland". Because of the stupid British guarantee to Poland the Polish refused to negotiate with Germany on a number of issues including the ones covered by the title of the book above.

And I would bet dollars to donuts that the great majority of atrocities were committed by Soviet personnel, often in German uniforms. After all, they killed 20 million or more of their own citizens.
