  1. Carbon is a solid. Why does it need capturing? If, however, you mean carbon dioxide CO2 which is a gas at atmospheric temperatures and pressures, those that advocate its removal from the atmosphere, must really hate plant life. Why? Because CO2 is plant food, without which no intelligent life would exist on earth. Just talk to a commercial greenhouse operator. In their operations they raise the CO2 content to about 1000 ppm, and the plants love it and thrive.
