@laszlozoltan5021 If anyone is capable of 'sound engineering', it's Germans. One can only shake one's head at any one who compares engineering by Germans, to that of Soviet or North Korea.

Design philosophies were different in the USA and USSR from those in Germany. As opposed to the allies, Germany was severely limited in raw resources and personnel. Consequently German weapons were designed for maximum surviveability of the crew and equipment. The allies, especially the USSR had practically unlimited cannon fodder to throw into the war thus their equipment was not geared to surviveability. Also, much of the USSR equipment was supplied by the USA. The USA was half way in between those two extremes.

There were no atrocities committed by Germans. Everything Germany did was in response to the aggression of other countries. Let me repeat that: EVERYTHING!
