  1. You can thank the French for that. Over a period of 400 years France invaded German territory 40 times. The murder and mayhem were catastrophic. Maybe that was the reason Germans were a little pissed at the French.

  8. I agree with most of what you say, with this exception. Had the Soviet Union prevailed, and invaded all of Europe, Britain would have been invaded by the same communists very shortly thereafter. Remember, Stalin didn't care about his casualties; he threw his people into the fight regardless of any losses. With the huge Soviet hinterland, German industries would have built submarines, anti-aircraft guns, quality tanks in great quantities, etc. such that Britain would either be starved or bombed into submission. The question then remains: How long would the USA, Canada, Australia, been able to resist any communist invasion? 10 years? 20 years? Who knows, but invaded they would have been. Regardless of the daily war propaganda "Germany baaad, communists and allies good', I thank my German relatives for having battled so valiantly to stop the Soviet invasion of central and western Europe.

  13. I am certainly grateful to my German relatives for having fought so valiantly to stop the communist invasion of Europe. You can put any spin you like on that, but facts are facts. How do you like the cesspool Germany and the West is turning into???

  14.  @Siegbert85  No shame for that considering that it took the entire capitalist and communist world almost 6 years to destroy a small European country. A country that had the brains and guts to implement a third way of organizing its economy that permitted the workers to fully benefit from their work. Within 3 years of the NS getting to rule Germany the economy was booming and unemployment practically non-existent. All while the USA and its hangers-on were still mired in the Great Depression.

At the time of the Franco-Prussian war, which was also started by the French, German territory had been invaded by the French 40 times over the previous 400 years! That is bound to leave hard feelings. The French are still pissed at the Germans for putting an end to that murder, mayhem, and pilferage with the Franco-Prussian war.
