  1. You are incorrect in that a public library can demand you leave for any reason. A private establishment has that right but not a public building. If he was in there just filming as is his right under the constitution then the police should have informed the library staff and any concerned citizens of the law. Anybody private citizen who does not want to be filmed could have moved to a different part of the library. There is no expectation of privacy in public. The library staff should know or be informed of the law. They can make all the policies they want but they do not Trump the constitution. If on the other hand he was creating waves as you say and being disruptive then they had every right under the constitution to ask him to stop being disruptive or leave. Filming by itself cannot be deemed disruptive. From what I can see here he was just filming and not disturbing anybody. This could have easily been handled if the police knew the law. I don’t expect every cop to know every law or interpretation of Law but a simple call in to a higher authority or the DA and this whole mess could have been handled differently.
