  1. So I go thru the self checkout with my 5 things. Each one beeped and I pay and walk out only to be stopped by security and escorted to a security room to await the police. So there we are. 2 cops. 1 security guy and a manager. They play the video. It shows me and It shows what I am ringing up. Each item beeps but for some reason the second item did not register a price but it did register a description. The cop asks to see it again to see if I was doing anything to the register. Im sitting there quietly. Finally the cop says it looks like equipment failure to me just go and pay for the one item. I said I wanted the incident report. He gave me his card with his badge number and an incident number from dispatch. My lawyer thought it would be more trouble than it’s worth to sue them. I paid him to file the lawsuit anyway. Walmart contacted my lawyer and we settled out of court. Not anything interesting. It was just the principle of the thing. Who steals .69 cent sponges from walmart?
