  1. KC international airport is closer to Omaha than DIA. In Sidney, NE, then DIA is closer, but still a 3.5 hour drive.

  2. Guessing: Harsh winters, isolated, other than Omaha, and a little bit of Lincoln, no big cities, property taxes, summer heat with a little more humidity, tornado alley, Midwest nice mentality, and not much in the way of scenery in most of the state.
