  9. Great video, but housing prices are inflated whether you are in Denver or Phoenix. 😂, 40 years ago I used to think Denver was in the mountains when I was a kid and lived on the east coast. Funny thing is, people still think that. It is in the high plains and if you look east, you see no mountains. The Denver area has always been an easy place to not get lost.

  12. IMO Sedona is too overcrowded and not fun like it used to be in the early 2000s and before. Prescott is better. However, I would never live in either. Both have seasons, but Prescott is colder overall due to elevation and is more forested. Tucson summers are about 5 to 7 degrees cooler than Phoenix, due to it being higher elevation and much less of a concrete jungle. Tucson is also close to sky islands (i,e Madera Canyon and Mount Lemon) where you can lose 15 to 25 degrees due to elevation.

  15. I heard that in most call centers they do not let you draw or do puzzles these days, because you are in queue most of the time. I worked in one during college over 25 years ago and it was like a party. We were able to read, do homework, talk to our neighbors, and date etc. Nobody ever micromanaged you and if you showed up, they were more than ecstatic.

  21. Guessing since I live there: Hot summers in the low desert, ac bills, ever increasing housing costs, crime, homelessness, drivers, roads need improvement, not too much priority is devoted to education, jobs, and an ever increasing water shortage.

  26.  @VictoriaGates  I should have put the 😂 after my comment. Topography is definitely a factor for me regarding a city because I enjoy outdoor activities. Luckily my region in the Southwest USA has not become ridiculously expensive. Totally agree about the bar and church factor, being the sole venues for any form of entertainment. Small cities like that could be unwelcoming to outsiders.

  30. If you go near the canal- like waterways aka CAP, there will be people living under overpasses there. Usually trails will be adjacent to the waterways. Tucson has a large number of homeless people, but it is less hot than Phoenix, but not by much.

  36. Medical care sucks here, totally agree. Doctors work from 9 to 3 here which sucks for people who actually work here. I think I trust used car salespeople more. I try to avoid doctors at all cost here. Midwest has the best in that department. Thinking about renting my house here when I retire and buying a small one in MN, WI, or UP MI

  48. I always thought Canaan and North Canaan were quiet rural towns. New Canaan on the other hand, is a whole different world where 10 houses or more in the former 2 towns are equivalent to one house in the latter. Same with Sharon, the AT is near there. Used to tube down the Housatonic River too.
